Cavite Career Fair premieres with a blast; Laguna is up next
CAVITE, Philippines, May 28, 2013- After back-to-back successful job fairs in National Capital Region and Northern Mindanao respectively this April, JobStreet.com, the No. 1 job site in the Philippines, goes to Southern Luzon this May.
JobStreet.com marked its presence in Southern Luzon via its Career Fair- Cavite, which opened on May 24 at the Event Center of SM City-Dasmariñas. More than 2,000 jobseekers came to find their biggest career break from more than 60 top companies and POEA-licensed agencies participating in the event.
No less than Dasmariñas City representative Elpidio “Pidi” Barzaga Jr. graced the occasion. He was joined by Atty. John Rio Bautista, chief of Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA)- Workers’ Education Division and JobStreet.com’s very own Mesdames Yoda Buyco and Carolyn Enriquez, marketing director and senior marketing manager respectively.
Cavite is home to more than three million Filipinos and is considered the most populous province (if independent cities from Cebu and Negros Occidental are excluded). Also, as a highly urbanized province, it contributes to South Luzon Region’s total of 1.67 million white collar jobseekers and 3.1 million blue collar jobseekers.

Thanks to the warm reception of the Caviteños after the success of our first two events,” says Grace Colet, country manager of JobStreet.com.
Meanwhile after the Cavite career fair, the series continues to Laguna Province on June 19 for JobStreet.com Career Fair-Laguna at the Activity Center of Robinsons- Sta. Rosa City. This event caps the Southern Luzon caravan.
