CREWING MANAGER - TSM Shipping (Phils.) Inc.

Overall in charge of the assigned fleet (offshore).
Directly responsible and reports to the Operations Manager on crewing matters and providing general assistance if required.
Coordinates with all organizational units and to act upon all recommendations and proposal of subordinates.
Supervises the assigned Crewing Officer and takes over the responsibilities in his/her absence.
Attends to character investigations of external parties on crew related matters.
Coordinates crewing requirements with Recruitment Department and source seafarers from outside pool if necessary, and to crewing matters to principals, vessels, and agents.
Ensures that all seafarers considered for hiring, rehiring and promotions are duly qualified as per established requirements and company standards.
Ensures all documents of crew are complete, accurate and valid prior embarkation. Approves line-up, promotions and training of crew.
Prepares and maintain rotation plan of each vessels.
Approves cash advance of crew and wives.
Approves outgoing/incoming messages to onboard crew.
Briefs all embarking and disembarked crew.
Prepares reports and other information required for meetings and seminars. Submits monthly, quarterly, and annual report to Operations Manager regarding crew operations
Attends to officers and crews inquires regarding terms of contract, salary scale, benefits, CBA, etc.
Conducts crew changes of company vessels within Philippine ports.
Member of the Emergency Response Team, if required.
