About Financial Reporting
Financial Reporting (FR) provides accounting expertise in head office reporting, statutory accounts, regulatory reporting and corporate taxation support across our global network of legal entities. It conducts integrity checks for ledger and risk controlling processes to ensure transparency in management and financial reporting. FR is responsible for reporting financial results to Corporate Center and statutory information to regulators, such as Germany’s BAFIN (Bundesbank and the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority) and the Federal Reserve in the US.
This role requires solid grounding in accounting fundamentals for statutory and head office reporting, as well as strong technical skills to enable timely production of quality reports across our global network of legal entities. You will prepare regulatory/ head office/ management reports, substantiate balance sheet accounts, prepare UK GAAP financial statements, and review rolling loans and accounts for new investments/ trade structures. You will ensure data integrity through reconciliation, analysis and data exceptions clearing. You will also be tasked to perform analysis of various dataset impacting counterparty risk, including movements and data issues, and perform analysis of deltas (month-on-month and run-on run) for identification of missing or incorrect counterparty information. And you will maintain Finance owned static data used in the production of all financial, management and regulatory reports generated at a Group and local level. Furthermore, you will audit files and liaise with the Bank’s global auditors to comply with the audit process. And lastly, you will address requirements of various stakeholders including tax, company secretariat, senior management, etc.
The ideal candidate must have a degree in Business or Finance-related courseswith solid experience gained from banking, audit, BPO/Shared Services, or Information Technology. Professional accounting qualification with knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) would be preferred. Good understanding of financial controls is also necessary to maintain/ improve the control environment. Likewise, change mindset is also important to contribute to process efficiency. While proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel spreadsheets, are required; knowledge of SAP is an advantage. Furthermore, you need to have strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills to work effectively. Lastly, you need to have the drive and motivation to thrive in the organization.
