Regional Procurement Support Officer  - British Embassy Manila

If so, we are looking for Regional Procurement Support Officers to join the Corporate Procurement Group (CPG) at a time of rapid change.
 
Background
CPG, within the British Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO), is seeking Regional Procurement Support Officers (LE IV) to assist the Asia Pacific Regional Procurement Specialist with multiple procurement projects. The primary objectives of this position are data analysis and the optimisation of the supply base throughout the Asia Pac region.
This position will be based at the British Embassy in Manila for a fixed term of 6 months.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Create reports, review data and perform the required analysis on the regional supplier database.
• Work in collaboration with Asia Pacific posts to communicate the results of the analysis.
• Initiate new supplier set-ups to optimise the supply base.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks in support of procurement projects.
 

Requirements


• Diploma/Degree holder or equivalent; ideally with some work experience related to data analysis or procurement.
• High detail orientation and strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced working environment.
• Effective oral and written English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
• Strong team player with excellent customer service.
 
This position is a good learning opportunity to understand the role of procurement in a global organisation, as well as develop data analysis, project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
The British Embassy offers a competitive salary within a 36-hour working week.
