The Philippine job market: Changes in workforce trends

The workforce had its share of changes over the years. Coupled with the rise and fall of its employment rates, there has been a more welcoming shift towards the digital medium. Such inclusivity birthed several trends, the details of which follow.

Firstly, there was an obvious shift from formal, on-site employment to self-employment at home. This refers to companies adapting a digital-based platform of work, and have since integrated online programs to their working ways. These gave leeway to several job opportunities, some of which have become one of the highest in-demand today.

So what are some of these jobs? Let us take a look at ten of them now.

What are the 10 highest paying jobs in the Philippines

At a glance, the top industries that belong to the list come from the Sciences, IT, and Healthcare. The list results are unsurprising, because of the demands that began in 2020 and have spilled over since then.

The Sciences dominate the list. With research on the up-end, several positions opened up in this department. Geology, Biology, and Math are just some of the sectors to come from this. Meanwhile, the digital shift grew exponentially. And with it came specific sectors that cater to learning and applying such principles. Computer Sciences and ICT professionals are the positions that companies are looking to fill in.

Lastly, answering healthcare demands has become most urgent. The search for professionals to heed the call have been consistent, especially for companies who are making their mark online. Despite the shift to normalcy, the call to stay healthy has been maintained, especially as people become more conscious of the way they live.
