"The S&T Fellows program of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) under the Office of the Undersecretary for Research and Development (OUSECRD) will boost its research and development (R&D) capacity through a pool of S&T experts and innovators or “fellows.”
The S&T fellows will be assigned to the different DOST R&D institutes and sectoral councils. The hired fellows will participate in the conceptualization, policy and funding development, and monitoring and evaluation of various R&D programs and projects.
Overall, the five-year project is expected to strengthen R&D and S&T services in all RDIs and Councils through human resources capabilities, thereby increasing the number of S&T experts and innovators in the country.
The project is also expected to increase the number of S&T-generated outputs and results contributing to the socio-economic growth of the country. Moreover, the project is expected to implement policies that sustain and ensure continuous upgrading/improvement within DOST and other R&D institutions.
In addition, the new project entails also to contribute to the DOST 6Ps and 2Is:
DOST 6Ps
o Publication
o Patent
o Product
o People Services
o Places and Partnerships
o Policies
DOST 2Is

o Economic Impact
