History
The Electrolux Group was founded more than 80 years ago and has grown during the last decades from a mid-size Swedish company to its current position as the Worlds Leading Appliance Company through acquisitions. At present, we are the market leader in Europe with such brands as Electrolux, Zanussi, and AEG while we hold the No. 3 position in USA, through our key brands Frigidaire, Kelvinator, Eureka and White Westinghouse. Electrolux entered the Philippine market in 1980 through its direct selling knock-on-your-door business. In 1994, the direct selling business was re-branded and later divested in 1998 by the Electrolux Group. In 2001, this business was later restructured and became Electrolux Philippines, Inc. with $250 million investment and now aims to be among the top three players in home appliances in the country.
