History
The forerunner of the former Quezon City Medical Center and Colleges, Inc. (QCMCC) was the Medical Center of Quezon City (MCQC), which is evidenced by its Certificate of Incorporation issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission on June 15, 1971. Subsequent to that, a permit to operate a 100-bed capacity hospital was issued by the Bureau of Medical Service of the Department of Health.
In the late June, 1979, its Articles of Incorporation was amended, changing its corporate name to Quezon City Medical Center and Colleges, Inc. At the same time, it established its very first college – the College of Nursing.
A change of ownership and management occurred in March, 1986. The inspiring leadership of the Guico Family ushered in a new vision and fresh enthusiasm that gave impetus to the rapid and consistent growth of the institution. From school year 1986 to the present, remarkable changes have continued to be realized through the dynamic corporate leadership of QCMCC.
From an old two-storey hospital building, the medical center now stands tall and proud in its imposing 15-storey edifice, serving hundreds of patients per day. The reputation of the hospital as a respected health care provider in the country is proven by the unfailing trust and confidence of satisfied clients and patients.
Meanwhile, the college also continued to expand itself.What started out as a small nursing school located at the heart of Quezon City in 1979 slowly expanded its horizons. Empowered by its vision and armed with its mission to become known the world over as an institution to bring Filipinos forward for global competitiveness, WCC pushed through and has made a reality out of its hopes and dreams.
The college, formerly known as Quezon City Medical Center and Colleges was then renamed World Citi Colleges by the new management, making a strong statement of bringing quality education to Filipinos, making them literally, “World Citizens”. The school building sprung into a 6-storey high structure that towers alongside its base hospital for education – the World Citi Medical Center

World Citi Medical Center also offers complete diagnostic procedures like pulmonary, cardiovascular, laboratory, ultrasound, CT scan, mammography and radiology tests and examinations.
