STMicroelectronics’ Back-end Manufacturing & Technology plant in Calamba City, the Philippines, began operations in January 1999. The state-of-the-art facility forms part of ST’s strategic network of front- and back-end manufacturing sites that spans Europe and Asia, supplying high-volume silicon solutions to our customers globally. To provide its customers with an independent, secure and cost-effective manufacturing machine, ST operates a worldwide network of front-end (wafer fabrication) and back-end (assembly and test and packaging) plants. ST’s principal wafer fabs are located in Agrate Brianza and Catania (Italy), Crolles, Rousset and Tours (France), and in Singapore. The wafer fabs are complemented by world-class assembly-and-test facilities located in China, Malaysia, Malta, Morocco, the Philippines and Singapore. ST also operates a sales and marketing office in Manila to provide sales and application support to its multinational and local customers in the Philippines.
