What's it like to be an Architect?
Architects are professionals trained in planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of structures that eventually become homes, offices, and other building facilities. They create the blueprint for construction projects as well as manage the project itself. Unlike engineers, Architects focus more on the style and design of a building. Types of structures that need Architects include skyscrapers, homes, and office buildings. Architects may work on design projects for new constructions, or conservation projects for existing structures.

- Drawing up designs using computer-aided design (CAD) applications.
- Giving both aesthetic and technical advice on projects.
- Developing, leading and supervising construction projects onsite.
- Communicating with clients.
- Conferring with construction teams about project feasibility.
