How to become a Photographer
Photographers need a good mix of hands-on training and knowledge in visual design to excel in their work. A relevant qualification is typically required.
- Finish post-secondary education.
- Complete a degree in photography, fine arts, multimedia arts or a related field.
- Get work experience. Working as a Photo Editor or Photographer’s Assistant can hone your photography skills.
- Expand your skills by learning how to use editing software. If you want to have a competitive edge, learn related fields such as videography, video editing, and graphic design.
